What it handles

Keep the cover art. Add the production pieces print requires.

An ebook needs only a front image. A paperback needs an exact full spread whose dimensions change with printer, trim size, page count, and paper stock.

Upload the ebook cover

Bring the finished front-cover image instead of commissioning or generating another design.

Match the spine automatically

Choose colors pulled from the front artwork and select a readable spine font.

Build the back cover

Add the description, author bio, photo, and barcode clear area on a matching background.

Use final book specs

Enter trim size, page count, and paper stock so each wrap is built for the actual edition.

Review watermarked proofs

Inspect front, spine, back, bleed, and safety guides for each printer before purchase.

The final download also includes the ebook front and a matching audiobook square.

Why it matters

A front-cover image is not a paperback cover file.

Print platforms need a single spread containing the back cover, spine, and front cover. Its width depends on the physical book, so simply placing an ebook JPEG into a generic template is rarely enough.

BookCovers.pro keeps your existing visual identity while guiding the production work around it.

FAQ

Ebook-to-print cover questions

Will BookCovers.pro redesign my uploaded front cover?
No. The upload is preserved by default. An optional AI placement adjustment is available only when you explicitly select it.
What image should I upload?
Use the highest-resolution version of the finished front cover available, preferably at least 1600 pixels wide and 2400 pixels tall.
Do I need the final page count?
Yes. Spine width depends on final page count and paper stock, so use the specs from the completed interior whenever possible.
Can I change the back-cover description?
Yes. The back cover has its own description, font, background, author-photo, and author-bio controls.
Can I preview before paying?
Yes. You can review watermarked full-wrap proofs before spending a credit.
Is AI generation required?
No. Uploading an existing front cover bypasses front-cover AI generation entirely.

Your approved ebook cover can become the print edition.

Upload the front artwork, add the physical book specs, and review the full wraps before paying.
