BookCovers.pro Terms and Conditions

The site-specific terms that govern your use of BookCovers.pro.

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Scope

These site-specific Terms apply to your use of BookCovers.pro and incorporate the Archieboy Master Terms by reference. By using BookCovers.pro, you agree to both these site-specific Terms and the Master Terms. Where a conflict exists, these site-specific Terms control for BookCovers.pro.

2. Reference images — rights and prohibitions

You may upload reference images (photographs, style references, your own previous work) to guide AI cover generation. By uploading any reference image, you represent and warrant that you own the image or have all rights necessary to use it as a generation reference, including any necessary releases from people depicted.

You may not upload as references:

You are solely responsible for any claim arising from a reference image you upload, and you agree to indemnify Archieboy for any such claim per Master Terms § 15.

3. AI-generated cover art — ownership and copyright caveat

Cover art generated by BookCovers.pro is yours to use, distribute, and publish on any retailer or platform you choose, subject to § 2 above and the Master Terms.

Important caveat about copyright in AI-generated images: the U.S. Copyright Office and several other jurisdictions have taken the position that purely AI-generated images are not eligible for copyright protection on their own; copyright generally attaches only to the human-authored elements of a composite work (such as your title, author name, typography, and the arrangement of those elements with the AI image). This is an evolving area of law that is outside our control. Archieboy makes no representation or warranty about the copyrightability or enforceability of rights in AI-generated images, alone or as part of your finished cover. You retain whatever rights you are legally entitled to claim, and we encourage you to consult qualified counsel if exclusivity or enforceability matters to your business.

4. Credit packs — expiry, transferability, refunds

5. Print specifications — best-effort, not guaranteed

Print PDFs produced by BookCovers.pro are generated against published Amazon KDP and IngramSpark cover specifications (trim size, spine width derived from your declared page count and paper stock, bleed, safety margins, PDF/X-1a:2001, CMYK, 300 dpi, embedded fonts). It is your responsibility to verify the page count, paper stock, and trim size you submit to us are accurate — spine math depends entirely on those inputs. If your interior page count changes after the cover is generated, you may need to regenerate.

We make no warranty that any specific printer, retailer, or distributor will accept the resulting file. Printer specifications, color profiles, and acceptance criteria can change without notice and vary between vendors.

6. Retailer and printer decisions are theirs

Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble Press, and other printers and retailers maintain their own content policies, image-quality requirements, AI-content-disclosure rules, and acceptance criteria, all of which can change without notice. Archieboy is not liable if a printer or retailer rejects, removes, delists, or refuses to print or accept your cover — whether on grounds of AI-generated content, image quality, copyright concerns, content policy, technical specifications, or any other reason.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the cover-art and AI-content policies of every platform where you intend to publish. In particular, Amazon KDP requires authors to disclose AI-generated content during book upload; failure to disclose can result in book removal or account suspension. Our role is to produce the file; truthful disclosure on upload is yours.

7. Prohibited cover content

You agree not to use BookCovers.pro to generate or produce covers that:

We reserve the right to refuse or revoke generations that violate these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in repeated abuse.

8. Sister-site integrations

BookCovers.pro integrates with other Archieboy services:

Each Archieboy service is governed by its own site-specific Terms in addition to the Master Terms; review those Terms before initiating a cross-site transfer.

9. AI image-provider terms

BookCovers.pro generates images using third-party AI providers (currently Google’s Gemini / Nano Banana model family, configurable). Your generation requests are subject to the underlying provider’s usage policies, which prohibit generation of certain categories of content (CSAM, non-consensual intimate imagery, content designed to defraud, etc.). Provider policies change without notice. We pass through provider-level rejections; we cannot override them.

10. Everything else

All other terms — eligibility, payment processing, account termination, intellectual property in our software and brand, your-content license grant, DMCA copyright complaints, disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and changes to these Terms — are governed by the Archieboy Master Terms.
